This can only be achieved in the long term if the employees are as motivated as possible to use their professional skills optimally in their area of ​​responsibility and ideally also inspire their team members and employees to develop their respective potential in the best possible way.

New Work is a contribution to the optimal exploitation of the employee potential, but it is not uncommon for the employees' initial enthusiasm to cause stress. What was planned as a motivational catalyst becomes a handicap, demotivates or even makes you sick. What is the reason for this and how can the actual goal be achieved by including employees in the design of the work environment from the outset and, with the help of the right choice of resources, create the necessary freedom to maintain the creativity and creativity of enthusiastic employees.

Considering current changes in the world of work (VUCA), new approaches to modern leadership come to the fore. Innovative solutions are to be created to improve the work processes and strengthen coexistence in the company. "Shared leadership" is one possible approach to achieving team goals through mutual dependency and mutual influence among team members. Leaders can foster teamwork by showing modest behavior (including self-awareness, ability to learn, appreciation, and emphasis on the contributions of team members).

In addition, the proactivity of team members is an important constraint on the effectiveness of shared leadership. The positive impact of managerial modesty is enhanced by the proactive personality in the team and team performance, so that the impact is strongest when both factors are high.

The positive effect on joint leadership is also much stronger if teams are made up of highly qualified employees. When implementing the "shared leadership" model, the factor company size and the associated distance or proximity to the supervisor as well as the exchange within the team also play an important role.

Are we 4.0 compatible?

Where would we be without digitization?

Lost? Without online banking, without online booking, without online shopping, without online chat, without online search, without online life.

Everything is online. Why do we still need "real" banks or stores with "real" people to go to? We're clever and that's what we wanted: everything immediately without leaving the sofa.

Machines should do the work for us: Admittedly, the idea is already a bit older. BUT, in the future, machines should not only do the work for us, but also decide which work should be done, how, when and where. This is called "artificial intelligence". In the meanwhile, what are we doing while machines are artificially intelligent?

Future scenarios of autonomous driving, the digitized factory or the 100% online life show us that we better stay on our sofa so as not to disturb the system. Really, are we redundant in the future? Colleague computer knows a lot and is getting better every day. Then the robots should pay taxes. After all, we have desires when we sit on the sofa all day.

Who owns the robots? It's clear that those who are on top of it deserve it. So, not a sofa and a water pipe for everyone? Fortunately, we don't need to worry about it, do we?
